Here we are at the trailhead ready to set off...
first part of the trail looked like this

this is what the island looked like before they carved a path through it--impassable due to all the jagged limestone
and what kind of hike would we have had, had we not seen one of these!

so how was it? hard? would u do it again? looks like a part of the island we have never explored.
sorry, just saw your comment...hike was not hard, but you really have to watch where you are going because the roots and the limestone sections are jagged
